Connecticut's Take-Out: Feral cats living near Bobette's
Take Out in Milford, Connecticut, are a lot safer, thanks to two caring restaurateurs. Bobette
Moore and Gary Caulfield, owners of the eatery, noticed that cats living near the restaurant
often were killed trying to cross the road. So, they asked city officials to erect a
"cat crossing" sign, and now drivers are visibly more cautious. "It's not really enforceable"
says public works director Bruce Kolwicz. "But it's working, and that"s what really matters.
